College football and basketball get too much hype?

It might just be me but I swear college football/basketball get too much hype? I swear it does. All Saterday during football season is College football this and that and other professional sports are put to the side for college football, and for teams that aren't even close to where I live. On almost every channel I hear about the different bowl games.





And during around easter time all I hear about is March Madness and the damn brackets. A professional local sports team will be playing but it's not on tv because they are showing a march madness game.





I think Professional sports teams should get senority over college. who cares about college teams, unless you went to that school.

I disagree. College sports are very popular and are a seperate entity than pro sports. You could also say who cares about the pro teams unless you live in that city. Not every area or even state has a pro team, but every state has several colleges. To each his own.

Friday = High School


Saturday = College


Sunday = NFL (pro)





They do this on purpose so they don't overshine or conflict with eachother. What can you say... football is the most popular sport right now.





As for March Madness... it's the College Basketball championship and doesn't get any more hype than the MLB Playoffs, NHL Playoffs, NBA Playoffs or any other playoffs. It just so happens that it has MORE TEAMS and MORE GAMES than any other playoff system so coverage is ridiculous.





In addition, the ability to enter "office pools" turns every casual fan into a die hard - most other sports don't have this. Because even fantasy sports require you to be somewhat of a fan of the game. But not office pools... just give a buddy 5 bucks and make a few picks and see what happens.





In any case... I love the NFL and College Basketball but not really College Football or the NBA... not that you care. If you love college basketball I would hit up http://www.bracketball.net
