Exclude previous college when applying for a new college?

i failed all my classes at a college and now i want to go to a different college and start over. i know that if i put my previous college and the grades i received that they will not accept me. i was just wondering if it was illegal or anything if i just did not incorporate anything from my previous college on the new college application? do u have any similar experiences with this. please help me out. i bombed two years of college mainly because i got distracted with friends and life and now i plan to move a little farther to finally get my life back on track and start fresh.

If you leave out information, and they find out, they will deny you admission or rescind an offer of admission.

Most schools are good. Certainly any top school will find out. A lesser school may not.
Reply:You are much better off being completely honest with them. They will respect you for that.

If they find out you are lying, they will reject you. And they will find out, because it's going to be obvious that there are two years of your life missing.

Your best option is to contact them before putting in your application, explain the situation, and ask what they advise. They might want you to do, for instance, a community college course first to demonstrate that it's not all going to happen again.
