I really want to transfer to state college to major in Communications and minor English or vice versa. I already got an acceptance as provisionary or something to one state college as an upper division transfer (starting as junior or senior).
However at my community college in order to transfer through this agreement they have I have to take one more math, one more science, and one more lab. But I got a D in the math and science classes I need, and got credit for them at my college...so since neither are for my major will the state college let me transfer with those D's?
The lab is easy. I already took one and got a B. I just need one more.
And I graduate the current college this semester with an AA degree. I wanna get out and transfer though !!
Transferring (college) advice?
You can transfer but you will have to redo those classes. You probably need those classes for your degree. D is not an acceptable grade for an University.
In other words, you will have to retake those classes :(.
To double check, call the University counseling center you want to attend and see if that math and science class are needed for your degree. Different degrees have different requirements. I am majoring in English for Education and I have to take Immediate Algebra and Statistics and Math for Education at the community college. I hate math too!!
My daughter is going into Human Resources and she had to take more Algebra than me.
So, you really need to call that University or look on-line at that University's website for the requirements.
Good luck in your future!!
