I attended a business college and majored in Business Management. I later found out it was an unaccredited college. I had to leave on maternity leave when I returned the college had closed down. Leaving me with only two classes before my degree. I don't understand why would the government fund a uaccredited college. I received a FAFSA grant while attending this college. I really need help because I would like to complete this course and get my degree. Can anyone help me? I don't feel that it is right to repeat these classes all over again.
What college takes grades from an unaccredited college?
You may have to speak with an admissions counselor to find out which classes you have taken will be able to transfer over. I'm sure that some of your basic classes will be okay to transfer, but you really need to ask them to find out.
It's difficult, and almost impossible to say which courses you have taken will transfer. The problem with unaccredited colleges is that a lot of their courses aren't taught in depth. And even if they are, many other topics would have been undercovered. This is one of the many reasons why unaccredited college course credits don't transfer.
You will have to find which college you want to attend to now and tell them your concerns and find out what they can do for you.
