Does summer college look good?

i have a decent gpa (4.44 weight / 3.82 unweighted) and i have extracurricular activities and stuff but i wanted to do a bit more since my gpa isnt as high as i would like. i was accepted into the stanford summer college program and thought it would look good when applying for college later since it shows that you are striving for your education, aren't lazy, and can handle the workload college presents (assuming i get good grades)





however i searched yahoo answers and i got mixed results about this. some said that it doesnt help because if you apply you usually get in, but others said if you get good grades in your courses it's good because it shows you can handle college, and since its stanford im going to the courses should be harder than most other colleges.
