Ok im brand new to the whole college process as u can tell. I plan to major in Computer science (4 yrs.) to become a video game programmer, dont know what college im going to plan to go to yet. But anyway here are my questions:
1) When i apply to college do i apply straight to bach. or assoc. degree first, then move onto bachalers.?
2) Is it cheaper to Live in-campus or off?
3) Can you avoid fees? (ex. I want to live off campus so i tell them im not paying room%26amp;board fees)
4)What do I look to first Financial aid, or college? whats more inportant?
5)What General courses am i supposed to look for? (dealing with comp.sci.)
6)When and where do SAT/ACT scores go?
If you answer my questions please type the number to the question you are answering, then answer.
College Application Process (multiple questions) PLZ ANSWER i beg?
1) whatever you choose. I went straight for a BA, and I think most places would recommend that if possible
2) Depends on the school. But probably on campus. I'd recommend on campus the first year or two anyway, it helps you get acclimated with college life and you make great friends
3) yes. if you live off campus you don't pay room%26amp;board
4. Both together
5. Depends on the school. With CS, you'll want to take math and probably physics, along with the comp sci classes and other engineering classes. You'll need to meet your university requirements too.
6. Take your SATs at the end of your junior year or early in your senior year. When applying for them, you can specify which colleges to send them to (you can also have them send the scores out later if you pick a new college)
Good luck.
2)On campus ...You won't have to worry about house bills or food and the students who live on campus usually have better grades
3)Yeah for room and board and meal plans, but you still have to pay for stuff like lab fees and parking
4)BOTH go to FASA and fill out an application and the school you have applied to may have that as a requirement but you should look for both Aid and Scholarship
5) go to your school's website and look for it ...they should have a list of requirements...but everyone has to take stuff like English Comp I and II and College Alg
6) when you register for the act, they tell you to list the codes of the schools you want to send your scores to ....then ACT sends it to them automatically when they send you your scores
