I need to decide before Tuesday March 1. I want to go to College park because I can get away from my family and all of their issues. Plus it is a bigger school so I can make more friends. It also has more majors than UMBC, which is good because I dont know what major I want to be. One of my biggest dreams is to also win the NCAA Division 1 championship in Wrestling, but if I go to College park now, I will have to try out as a walk on. UMBC also has a Wrestling team, but it is a club team, which means it is lower than Division 3 NCAA. Plus, my brother goes to UMBC, and I am sick and tired of being his shadow. I want to get away because I live right next to UMBC, but College Park is 45 minutes away. The only thing stopping me from going to college park and dorming there is the cost. My parents are not rich and they dont want to take loans, and I was kind of late in applying for financial aid. Please help me.

Reply:I think you should go to UMD at College Park. Cost shouldnt be the thing thats stopping you from going to the school that you want to go to. You can always pay the student loan off later.
Reply:I live in Maryland too and if you ask me they are both great schools. If your grades are good then you could get a scholarship. Try for a wrestling scholarship. From the sound of it you have already decided that UMCP is where your dreams lie so go get them and good luck.
