College oh college... i think i might just hate it!!?

i understand the importance of a higher education in the job market these days... but why do i feel that even with a college education its still hard to get a good job these days. why are people with degrees working as telemarketers and bank tellers and other jobs you don't need a degree for? I know its not a waste of time but i'm having a hard time getting in the groove of taking classes and doing homework!!! joined the air force, not to get out of it, but i did fail out of school. now i want to go air force my parents want me to go community college then back to the university i flunked out, i really want to be in the air force for awhile though and see and do different things before i have a family and my degree and my final career! any ideas as to good idea bad idea, or how to get back in the groove of college?

College oh college... i think i might just hate it!!?
A good percentage of people drop or flunk out of college y their 2nd year. Many go back later an finish but college isn't every ones cup of tea. If you go into the USAF you might gain some skills at organization, discipline and time management that will help you upon your return to college later.
Reply:Ms. Jackson,

You're welcome and thank you for finding my answer of some value...and for the 10 points!

Good luck on joining the USAF if you decide to move forward with your plan. Report It

Reply:There is nothing wrong with the Air Force, however you may have a hard time getting in if your grades weren't very good. And don't fall into the BS about its hard to find a job with a college education. That story has been around for years and its usually the types that don't want to start at the bottom or goofed off in school that end up in that situation. If you work hard in school, take a course of study that's in demand and get good grades you will have no trouble finding a job when you get out. The military will give you the opportunity to get useful training that you can use to get a good job in the private sector as well as money for further education when you get out.

Make an informed choice. Its your life.
Reply:Go ahead and join the air force, they will pay for college and you can take some easy classes while you are in.

Warning on those classes, you have to be careful which school you take them from because some of them are worthless.
