Ok There is a community college I am planning on going to because its near me and its free for me. I plan on going there to do my basics liberal arts and sciences major. I want to transfer to a college to pursue a career in Animal Care or Vet. Technion. Sounds good right ... well no cause many schools that I have seen are offering these majors as two year degrees. Can I transfer to the community college to go to a university and pursue a two year degree major to get a bachelor's. What do I do? It's late now so I can not apply for any other university's and they would be a lot of money too. Waiting is unacceptable so please don't tell me I should take a break off school. Community college is good but is there a way I can get a bachelors in the major I want. My community college does not have these majors so thats why I plan on doing basics first then major in a university. I'm really worried I am taking the wrong path.
College Question?
Well, more than likely you'll be classified as just a "liberal arts" major at the community college. When you transfer to the university you'll be able to clearly define your major. I think you should call the admissions offices of both of the schools-they get paid to answers these exact kinds of questions. Also, I would try checking out their websites. Remember, that a community college will just get your basics out of the way, every student is expected to full fill some core or general education requirements at any college they attend.
Just call both of the colleges and double check.
Good luck!
