Hi, I have some questions regarding to College... What is better Technical Institute/College or Community College? And can you transfer to University from both Community and Technical College after 1 year? Thanks for answers in advance...
College Question?
It's not a question of which is better, but what is your goal? A technical school will offer education geared toward skilled trades, like auto mechanics, construction practices and such, with the exception of colleges like MIT, Georgia Tech., Cal Poly. and many others. The Tech institute is usually small and they're found in many communities.
A community college is just a smaller version of a full blown university. The types of classes offered are very similar and probably smaller.
As far as transferring credit from one to another; you need to check into that FIRST. A school MUST be accredited in order for credits to transfer. Even then, some credit will not transfer. If you think you might want to transfer to another school after a year or so, you need to make sure what you study at one, will transfer to the other. Re-read the first sentence of this paragraph.
