College players to the NFL?

I see on this forum that a lot of people are arguing about what college team puts the most players into the NFL. Is that really an issue? I like to keep them separate myself. I like a college team that plays good team football rather than have a few NFL types. Some colleges play systems that are different to the pros, so their players are not going to go there. They can still beat teams that send players to the pros though. I guess my question is: Would you rather have your team win championships in college but not send too many players to the NFL, or have a team that sends the most players to the NFL, but doesn't win championships in college?

College players to the NFL?
When they start talking about how many players their team has in the NFL, you can bet that it means their team is losing.
Reply:I think the best programs do both. They have a winning program and send players to the NFL. USC and Florida both send a lot of talent to the NFL and both programs are among the winningest.
Reply:this question is wrong in some many ways. no college coach puts in an NFL system. you got those who try like a Weis and Callaghan, and look where they got. College and Pros are very much different.

and if you got a team with alot of pro talent it's pretty much simple you'll win. look at the last two champions in college, Florida and Texas. those two teams had stockpiles of pro players.

why do you think USC, Florida, Texas, OSU, LSU and OU are always there for national championships because they got the best players.
Reply:just WIN, baby!
Reply:I think the most successful teams put the most pros in the league. It just makes sense.

I can enjoy a team like Wake Forest or the old Nebraska or Oklahoma where they run a fine tuned system.

I like watching Florida where they run a system at blazing speed a lot better.

Of course I am a GA Tech fan and having Calvin Johnson for 3 years was a blessing and we won (more than usual).

8 Years ago we had a better player, Joe Hamilton, who was even better to watch but he wasn't a pro.

I'm rambling...........
Reply:That is just plain retarded. Team's that are capable of winning national championships are the same teams that fill NFL roster's. Every once in a while you might have a college QB that excels on the collegiate level but can't make it in the pro (Tommy Frazier, Charlie Ward etc) but that is it. Look at the teams who have won or at least competed for recent National championships. USC, OSU, LSU, Auburn, Florida, OU, etc, those are the same teams that put the majority of the players in the NFL. Weak question and a moot point.
Reply:It is pretty pointless, but I believe Miami has the most at the moment, followed by Michigan, Florida State, USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State etc
Reply:LSUBalls, I don't think its an unfair question, LSU was still putting guys in the NFL under DiNardo, Hallman, and Mike Archer and could not get close to winning the western division. Florida and Miami have had some lights out QB's that were horrible in college ie; Woerfuell, Toretto, Grossman,

Testerverde all come to mind. I would rather the championships than numbers in the NFL.
Reply:Ideally I would like both, but I can totally see your point. Hawaii has a very prolific offense that can put up points on just about anyone, heck it's just about a given that a Hawaii Qb will be among the top 5 every year in passing yards and passing TD's, yet its rare that people out of Hawaii ever garner serious attention from pro scouts.

Mostly though, I just hate when college players I don't like get drafted by my favorite team or when players I do like go to teams I don't like. I hate rooting for Hawk as a Packer, but I can't stand rooting for Tony Hunt now that he's an Eagle...oh well.
Reply:I will keep pulling for my team which can do both. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
